No. The mount has no electronic components, but power and signal cables must be routed safely to the projector.
Compare the projector weight and mounting-hole pattern with the limits shown on the product page. Measure centre-to-centre spacing; do not rely on the word “universal” alone.
Do not use it when the projector exceeds the stated load, the mounting points do not align, required ventilation would be blocked, or the ceiling cannot accept suitable anchors.
It is intended for compatible BOSS models, but hole spacing and safe load still need to be confirmed for the exact projector and installation.
Use structurally appropriate anchors, attach every required projector arm, keep ventilation openings clear and support the projector until all fasteners are fully tightened. Professional installation is recommended.
Mount the projector as square and centred to the screen as practical, then adjust tilt and rotation in small steps before tightening the locking hardware.
Finish the physical alignment before using digital keystone correction. A level projector with minimal digital correction preserves more usable image area and detail.
Periodically inspect fasteners, joints and cable strain, especially after moving or adjusting the projector. Follow the installer’s schedule and never loosen hardware while the projector is unsupported.
If the image drifts, support the projector, check every joint and fastener, then realign it. Stop using the mount if any part is bent, cracked, loose or pulling away from the ceiling.
Never exceed the stated load or use anchors that are not rated for the ceiling material. Keep people clear during installation and use a qualified installer when the structure is uncertain.
